- In a large saucepan set over medium heat, bring milk and ½ cup water to simmer.
- Whisk in soup mix and pepper. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until thickened.
- Stir in pasta, 2 cups cheese, bacon and half of the green onions until evenly combined.
- Transfer to 9×13-inch baking dish and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
- Broil for 3 to 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and golden brown.
- Sprinkle with remaining green onions.
Use mild, medium or aged cheddar cheese.
